We ve got tubs in the front of our garden that are full of old lavendar looking very tatty and sad ,we would like something in them that's easy colourful all year and doesn't take a lot of care , we not very clever in the garden ,but like it to look nice ,thanks

My old friend euonymus fortunii. Tough as old boots, cheerful all year, amenable to clipping if you want to. They have variegated leaves, with gold or silver. Nothing seems to want to eat them and they need hardly any care most of the time. A bit slow to get started but you can always put bulbs round them for spring and a few bedding begonias in summer until they fill the tubs.

I agree with Steragram..so easy,almost none care..just teim off unwanted shoots,to shape,if you prefer..so cheerful and bright,especially in winter..

Hi you might like to have a look at Heucheras they come in a wide range of colours and there are loads of pictures of them on the site. Just click plants then H. They are pretty drought resistant and evergreen (or purple or red or orange or yellow or .........)
