hi all can you please identify this shrub/bush for me please, im not sure what it is and its the only thing in my garden im not sure what it is, it seems to be some sort of willow it has white flowers and i bet some of you will thing im a dummy but im new to this and would love to know what it is please

Hi, I think it couldbe a species of Spirea, possibly Arguta, Derek.

I first thought of Callistemon. I know there is a yellow flowered variety but even though the leaves look similar, the actual shrub habit doesn't. It also looks a bit like Zauschnaria but that has red flowers.

If nobody knows you could show a picture of the flowers when they appear, which would make it easier. I can see why you thought willow but they don't have yellow flowers.

well it flowered and it didnt have yellow flowers as i said but derek m got it spot on, its defietly a Spirea arguta and looks brilliant. so i thought i would up date it
