Hi, it doesn't look like rosebay willowherb to me, the flowers on that grow in spires, these look like individual bell shaped flowers, unless there's a nother rosebay willowherb that I don't know about, Derek.

A willowherb, but not rosebay. i think its Great willowherb

Thanks to each and all! I like the flowers and the statuesque nature of this plant, but I think it will have to be removed..there's just far too much of it. Will dig up before it sets seeds!

You 'should be able to just pull it out but do it very soon as it could seed at any time.
