Like most things best in the ground but can be grown in a tub for a few years. You can prune it too as it is very quick to respond and will bush out quickly too though flowering will be reduced if pruned too much. The flowers are a lovely pink and contrast with the dark foliage beautifully.
After three, four or five years, plant in the ground.
