hi , i have a young hydranger which i need to move to a better position , would moving it now harm the plant .

Yes it wouldn't cope with the move as it will be in full leaf. better to move it either after the leaves fall in November or in Feb/march providing the soil isn't frozen.

If you have to move it for building works etc then there is no choice but if its just that its in the wrong place then wait. ;o)
