Hi Lyndsey personally think that petunias/surfinas like to be baked they certainly dont appear to appreciate water on their petals this year not great for any hanging baskets .We had snow at easter a dry spring and wet summer - not all what these annuals like! Or us.Dead head and only water when compost v.dry and then from base only.

Hi, are you dead-heading them? I have always found that the dead flowers go mushy after a while so its best to take them off, also it helps them flower for longer.
