Can any kind gardener identify this, weed, plant, that appeared in my garden.
No buds apparent just foliage.

Thank you for your comments, I was very lax.
The offending weed is about 24 inches tall and the same spread. I have looked at pics of your suggestions and don't think so.

Yes the photo is better, are the leaves aromatic? I suspect there may be flowers forming in the centre of the stem tip. it will have to be a waiting game I am afraid.

It could be an Artemisia hard to tell at the angle of the photo. How tall is it? Also reminds me of Centaurea steinbergii
