The tips of the leaves on my Hydrangea are turning purple and then very dry and brown, looking almost as though they have been burned. The rest of the shrub seems very healthy and is beginning to bud as usual but the leaves are very unsightly. I have watered it as I have done in the past so I am not sure what is causing this - I would be grateful for any advice you can give.

Thanks

could have been caught by the recent strong winds on the young leaves, they do need a lot of water as well and easily begin to droop
