m neigbour has ivy growing over the right of way to our property and are not very friendly it is the gate that i need to keep clear how do i stop it grow over the door way and coming through to sides of the door ? we did mention it to then but they ignore us can i spay round up on it from my side? but we both have dogs and i don`t want to harm them can i spray around the top of the door and sides?

If your neighbour is growing ivy in your garden you are entitled to cut it back to the boundary and return it to your neighbour's garden. You could also use roundup on it which will not harm your dog.
