Does anyone know what this is? It's not doing very well as you can see in the second photo. Nursery said it can take full sun...am I watering enough? Too much? It's on a drip irrigation and is watered about 30 minutes in the evening. I don't want to lose it - should I pull the dead leaves from the bottom and can it be saved?? :(

« What is this plant. I think it came out of a wild flower packet. Thanks
Cordyline australis 'Red Star'. I think it has outgrown your pot and as it could reach a height of 18 foot plus, then it will do better in the ground. As it get bigger, you can cut the dead leaves off near the trunk. But I think it makes a neater job if you pull the leaves downwards to remove them.
