Hi. I have a willow tree stump (approx. 5ft tall), the wind snapped it one windy night. I have removed the fallen tree but the stump is sprouting branches from the top of it. What is the best way to stop this from happening as I would like to keep the stump but without the rest?

Cut the broken it off neatly and make a nick between the bark and the wood all the way round. Then put SBK down the gap and cover the top firmly with plastic.
