iris with an identity crisis. i grew a pot of iris reticulata this spring and had a good show of sweet little dark blue iris. i left them to rot down and the leaves continued to grow. however I now have a pot of tall yellow iris in their place which came into flower a few days ago. what is going on?

Maybe they were mixed in with the reticulata corms somehow. Are they definitely coming from the same bulb ?

these sound like dutch iris. the bulb/corm are very similar so I suspect there are two types in the pot. they cant change from one species to another.
can you post a photo.
