When should I prune my Lenten Roses. I have 2 that are very large & a smaller one. I plant to move them this fall. Is that the correct time to do this.

If you mean Helleborus x hybridus then you do not normally prune them until February, when one cuts off all the old leaves. If there are leaves with black spots on them now or dead leaves then carefull remove them where they emerge from the soil. Fall planting is ok as long as it is early, so the plant has time to establsih before wnter.
