I have a 'fence' of conifers that on the (garden) side are flat and assume as they have been there some time they have either been pruned or trained that way.
I have put a few more - to match these and they are of course growing upwards - and outwards.
How do I make the garden side flat ?

Clip it! Once or twice a year will be enough but make sure you don't cut back beyond the green part as it will not regenerate if you go back to brown twigs.
