I have a 3 year old Victoria Plum tree with a very good crop of fruit this year. I have noticed the trunk splitting vertically in several places. It is well secured. What can I do to prevent disease getting into the cracks? Any help appreciated

If you have any gum coming out of the cracks, it's gumosis, clean it off and then treat with an Arbrax cream, wrap round lightly with sealglaze tape.
