Agree with Badfish^. You will find that it regrows...perhaps too well.

and sends suckers up all over the place especially after it has been trimmed back. I have little shoots of the darned thing growing out of paving slabs, just pull them up and they come out somewhere else, but it is a lovely tree especially when the leaves turn orange and yellow in Autumn (sorry for that word) lol. but it is coming.
