I have some established laurels of say 10 yrs and I would like to move them is this possible, or will they die

Hi, welcome to GoY, I agree with Steragram, been in far too long to be moved, apart from killing the trees, you would probably give yourself a heart attack trying to move them, it would be better to just cut them down to the ground, and either have the stumps ground out, or drill holes in the roots and apply s b k brushwood killer, which will prevent any regrowth, and the roots will eventually rot away.
Is it a hedge that you have kept trimmed ?, if so the height and spread of the 'bushes' bears no resemblance to the size of the roots, they may look as though they will come out easily, believe me they will not!!, Derek.
