I planted two climbing and two rambling roses last year and they have put on some growth but have had very few flowers this year. Is this normal? When can I expect lots of roses?

It is normal for them to take time to settle before flowering so next year may be better. However they flower better if you train the stems as close to horizontal as possible. In the spring tie the youngest stems as level as possible. if they are rambling up through trees then this is a bit more of a problem but if you don't train them then the flowers will all be at the top of the plant.

Depends on the conditions. How much sunlight are they getting?
