ideas for planting out a circular bed with cottage garden plants

Answers

Maybe use some structure in the centre - a hazel wigwam with sweet peas growing up - or a tall (staked) plant like Hollyhock. Then jumble up Lupins, geraniums, delphiniums, carnations etc - bung in some peas or beans, maybe some leaf beet with colourful stems, a few strawberries around the edge, whatever takes your fancy....

It is the great thing about 'cottage gardening'. It is supposed to be jumbled up so it is hard to go wrong. Veg with flowers is great, I remember seeing cabbage used as a dot plant in a bedding scheme on Blackpool Pleasure Beach!!!
