I have had Hypericum "Magical White" in the garden for 3 years and until this year it has flourished. It has been badly eaten by caterpillars and I want to know if I prune it back hard will it flourish again in the future? Or should I lift it and replace it with something else? I don't know what kind of caterpillar has done the destruction or how to prevent it from happening again.

Hi, welcome to GoY, your plant should come back ok next year, you will have to keep an eye on them, and at the first sign of any caterpillars, give them a spray with Bayer sprayday greenfly killer, it kills a lot more thanjust caterpillars, Derek.
