My hebe has died in the middle, I think from the heavy snow on it last winter or old age. I really don't want to dig it up as its quite big. Can I cut it back hard to the dead centre to encourage new growth?

Also, how do I take cuttings of the Hebe just in case?

Thanks
Kim

Semi ripe cuttings in summer (so anytime from now till mid July). As for hard pruning, recommendation is to cut back some stems by half now, and the rest next spring.

How do I say thanks?
