Keep at it. I thought i'd got rid of mine after 15 years of spraying with roundup. This year, it's back with avengence

Digging it out unfortunately is only temporary as the roots can go down six feet, I kid you not. One of our members (sorry can't remember who) knows of something that does work, so keep looking at the answers and hope he sees the Q.
Or lay the whole lot to lawn and mow it every week....

Hi, as one newby to another I am afraid this is not good news. In my experience the ONLY way to get rid of this weed is to dig it out. I read somewhere that this is a pre-historic plant - to survive this long it must be resilient. Weedkiller does not work successfully as the roots spread up to 45cm deep underground. On the bright side if you steep the weed in a bucket of water for 3 weeks it makes an excellent fertiliser.
