I have several clumps of hardy Osteospermum (Jucundum) which have flowered beautifully during the summer but they are now getting rather untidy. Can they be cut right back to make neater clumps and should this be done in autumn or should the foliage be left on during the winter to give protection?
Thank you

I took some greenwood cuttings from mine when it started to die and they rooted really easily.

I would trim them back now,Liz,to tidy them up.If it stays mild for a while, you may still get a few flowers on them..you could divide them,if they are too big,but maybe wait till spring,or take a chance and try one of them now,if you want some more plants..
