Should be possible, though you will need to extract it carefully so as not to break any major roots, and keep a good rootball. You can do it this month, but you will need to keep it well watered until winter if you do, otherwise, wait till mid October and do it then. In the meantime, prepare another area for its new position by digging over well.

Easy to be wise after the event, but next shrub you buy its a good idea to check eventual size - usually says on the label but ask here if it doesn't.
