keeps growing up but nothing out wards.
yes its a laburnum and we haven't done any cuttings.
just put it in the ground and we did have lovely yellow flowers.

Welcome to GOY. Is it a Laburnum tree? It looks like it has brown seed pods - like pea pods which would have been preceded by yellow flowers. Do you cut or break off the lower outgoing branches when cutting the lawn. It has to grow some way and if the bottom is kept short then it will go up. It would be helpful to know what it is.
