Epipremnum aureum like moist but free draining soil. Yellowing of leaves and brown dieback on the margins is a classic sign of overwatering.

How does that fit in with what I read about the aquariums Botanic? Seems odd doesn't it? Glad somebody knows the answer anyway.

Steragram, My Master Gardener instructor said, "Almost any plant can grow in soil or in water, but very few will grow in mud." Epipremnum needs a fair amount of oxygen around the roots--no surprise, since is semi-epiphytic in its native habitat--which is possible in well aerated water, or soil with air spaces, but often hard to come by in saturated soil. Martin, the symptoms that your plant is showing can also be caused by sodium buildup, caused by poor drainage and/or bad water quality.

Ah yes, because an aquarium will have a constant stream of air blown through it. I see.

Am confused. It looks like Epipremnum aka money tree. It does not like being over watered. Just leave it be and it should be fine.

They do seem to thrive on benign neglect, Botanic! :)

Next question
Not having heard of this I looked it up and it seems some people stand them over aquariums so their roots hang down into the water, so overwatering may not be an issue.
