cat mint (nepeta) is great for attracting the cats and you should be able to but it at your local garden centre, i sell a few different ones.
Scaredy cat plant ( Coleus Canina) can also be bought there and people tell me it works a treat.

I've had good luck repelling cats with rue (Ruta graveolens).

I have 3 Nepeta one is N Giant hills the others are N Mussinii my cat eats it and rolls in it. I have 3 to give them a chance to recover from him. I posted a pic in the last 48 hours of what it looks like when left to grow - makes good ground cover.

Previous question
Nepeta is the thing to ask for - most garden centres sell it, shouldn't be difficult to find. Let me know if your cat destroys it before it gets a chance to grow - mine used to roll over it in ecstasy to the point where it gave up the ghost every time I planted it.
