Hi all
I have a lovely Verbena bonariensis, Viper in a raised plot but want to move it to a new border I'm digging over. Would I be able to move it now before the frosts start kicking in? It looks fabulous in bloom right now and didn't want to cause any undue stress as I believe they can be fragile but at the same time, I am keen to get some perennials in this border for next year.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Yes - suggest you wait till mid/end October to dig it up and move it. These plants aren't entirely hardy, and may die during winter anyway, but with luck it may have seeded and you'll find seedlings next year, so check what you're weeding out before you use the hoe...
