If there's any leaves which are looking okay, leave those on, but you can take the other dead or damaged leaves off. Careful you don't remove any incipient new growth though.

Thanks ... could you clarify incipient new growth presumably this is right at the base of the plant ??

Could be anywhere at the base, nearest the ground - sometimes appears at the base of other leaves, and if you're not careful, you find you've chopped the tip off the new leaf along with the damaged ones you're trying to remove.

Well, to be honest, even if you do chop the tip off a new leaf, it'll still grow - but it'll be blunt at the end!

How do I say thanks?
