Agree. It can be a bit of a weed. Even the golden form comes true from seed which I suspect is apomictic (clonal) like some other plants from widely different plant families such as Dandelions (Taraxum vulgare agg), Blackberries (Rubus fruticosus agg), Whitebeam's (Sorbus aria agg) and Mat Grass (Nardus stricta agg).
Probably irrelevant additional info there but I have an interest in apoximis (the plant equivalent of Greenfly cloning themselves).

you only need a bird to eat the berries of this plant and when they fly over and does a wotsit (poo) the seed only has to fall and it will germinate and you will end up with the plant
