My daughter has a large Magnolia Stellta , she sprayed weed killer to weeds under canopy on a still day, not near trunk. Leaves are all rolling inwards. Does this mean the tree will die ?? Or is it able to be saved if in fact this is the cause and how ??

Compost tea as a drench to the soil, and diluted and sprayed on the leaves, will detox most weed killers, though glyphosphate and some of the more ferocious soil sterilants will require multiple doses. If the local garden center offers fulvic acid, that is even more effective, in my experience.

What was the weedkiller, and any sign of anything that shouldn't be there under the leaves on the magnolia?
