We have a serious attack of oysterscale on our patio hydrangea. We don't
think it can be saved, it's too bad. What is the best way to dispose of the
plant? Thanks very much for the useful comments

Can be saved - go and get some Provado ultimate bug killer, that should sort the little beggars out. Otherwise its a bit of a bonfire if you're allowed to have them.

I agree with Bamboo - it's certainly worth treating even if just to clear enough to take cuttings before the end of July.
