I think most people just plant them where they are to flower - what kind of advice were you looking for? Just make sure you don't buy the ones intended for indoors as they have been specially treated to flower early.

make sure the bulbs are firm and mould free. plant 2-3 times deeper than the bulb is tall. I often sit bulbs on some grit to help drainage. they like good drainage and sun.
