Does anyone have any advice as to how to get rid of snowberry without damaging a pair of cherry tree saplings?

I have this coming from my neighbour - If you carnt pull it out? try painting the leaves with a systemic weedkiller and the put stems in a plastic bag and rubber band so as not to contaminate anything else.
