Can Clematis Allanah be severley chopped and when (has already flowered and is seading). 2 - I want to dig up the poppy in my personal photo when is the best time to do it and would any one like the roots when I do?

The time to prune clematis is in the early spring, when the new buds are forming - then 'Alannah' should be pruned hard back to healthy buds about a foot up from the base. It should be fed at the same time.
If you want the poppy out - then any time is a good time! However, when it's dormant is best if you're passing the plant on.
