Your soil is going to be contaminated with salt for quite a time to come, Ijustine, so there is not a lot that you can grow in it. You could build some raised beds, a couple of feet high, and fill them with imported soil and you could gravel the rest of thje garden and grow container plants. Try not to restrict the rain getting through to the soil as this will help to dilute the salt.
