i planted arron pilot seed potatoes early april. as they have flowered,i have dug some up , but hardly any potates. can you advise

Did you earth them up, were they frosted.? Have they had enough water?. I am digging first earlies, planted 7th. April about 1kilo per root.

thanks for your comments , maybe the watering is an issue . although most have flowers on ,so will extra watering help or is it too late

You can still water but probably too late to make any real difference, as the plants have flowered and almost completed their growing cycle.

Our first early potatoes planted late March/early April are not ready yet.

Aaron Pilot are a first early so you should be seeing tubers by now, have they had lots of water? Potatoes need an awful lot of water while they are growing.
