i have noticed that i have pearl white balls in the soil of my patio rose and green balls in my iceberg rose. both are in pots at the moment and i dont know what they are should they be there!

Sometimes the colour of the time release capsule indicates the type of fertilizer in them... green may be higher in nitrogen than the white ones...which may be more beneficial for blooming flowers...the nitrogen rich fert is usually for greenery.

Pearl white ones could either be snail or slug eggs, or just as likely water retaining gel. The green ones are long life feed capsules, put in by the nursery to feed the plant as it grows.
