Hello, I'm trying to identify this plant, this site is near the sea + I'm sure I've seen it in other seaside spots. it has a fleshy leaf and here it grows on a wall.
Thanks very much!

If they are standard size gabions, from that scale I would guess they are Carpobrotus edulis. The leaves look too large to be Lampranthus (a close relative).

I have seen portalacea[?] grown like this too. is that what you are saying they are Fractal. [like the new avatar but it took me a while to realise it was you :o)]

Hi Sg. Yes my avatar has changed. I took a shot of this Corn Cockle a week ago with droplets from a watering can on it's petals. Main pic in my photo's. :-)

I think the leaves are too long to be Purslane, I'm guessing about 3-4 inches in length.

thanks for your answers. The gabion is about 1/2 a meter accross (per section) the leaves are probably 5cm at a guess.
I think Carpobrotus edulis is what it is, thanks again
