Presuming you mean young plants Stephy, Coleus can be grown in either full sun or shade, but this will determine how intense the colour will be, in full sun the colour will be more intense and the plants will need regular watering, morning is better for coleus they don't like having wet leaves at bedtime. Make sure you don't allow the coleus to flower, this will be at the expense of more beautiful coloured leaves, keep pinching out the tips to encourage bushier plants.

It is an annual, so if you put it in the ground, at some point take cuttings to root indoors because it cann't take a chill.
