friends I have in usa use a tobacco spray they mix themselves but can also buy it is it legal and available in the uk?

Don't forget that any concoction using tobacco leaves is actually nicotine, which is a very powerful poison. Not only can you not buy it, but it is technically illegal to make it yourself. There are many far less harmful products and home made concoctions you can use, and nicotine solutions kill everything, ladybirds and bees as well as pests.

Google for the info on Garlic Barrier we are trying that out this year. Organic and does not even kill the bad bugs just keeps them away from your plants.
