Yellow circular eggs
By Quorange

There are little yellow circular eggs in my patio pots. I presume they are some insect or another - but what, and how to get rid of them?

Most frequently asked question, this one. There are no common insect eggs which look like this, either they are too small to see with the naked eye or they are clear or milky white as in mollusc eggs.

once the contents are nearly all used the 'shell' does fill with water and do squish and ooze liquid. they also come in a range of sizes too and sometimes colours. I had a bag of blue & green ones and I think they also do this so you can tell if they are for rhodedendrons etc.
I cannot think of any soil dweller that has yellow eggs either.
