just joined this site after reading it for a while and already have a question ,i have had this plant come up in my garden it appeared out of nowhere and have no idea if its a plant or weed can anyone help cheers

Thank you for that Fractal i think i best dig this up and move to my mother-in-laws as i only have a small garden and its only about 5 feet from the house

It's a Salix, probably Salix caprea (Goat Willow/Pussy Willow). The tiny seeds have a fluffy attachment and can blow for miles from the parent tree before settling and growing.
