question. tomatoes went bad .thanks for 3 answers today thur, yes they were grown in the open ground and fertilised with diluted comfrey feed, is my soil lacking something as only some of my tomatoes went bad while green, they were grown outdoors in a sunny position, i think i read sometime its potassium deficiency thats the cause, any suggestions is grateful. thanks for future answers.

Would be surprised if it was potassium deficiency as you fed comfrey regularly and that's got more potassium than nitrogen.

you still haven't said in what way 'bad' it might have been blight which is a fungal infection and considering how wet it has been at times it could well be that.

If you mean they went brown at one end that is calcium deficiency. If so, just google blossom end rot.
