all my trees are in big boxes in John Innis no3. and i have had them for a year now, but why are they not fruiting?

Could be too young, depends what they are - when you say "big boxes", they do need to be over 3 feet deep an 24 inches wide, and the trees need to be dwarf forms to grow well in containers.
