Can anyone please tell me what this plant is? It was sold to me about 5 years ago as some kind of quince. it has not done anything until this year and I was goind to dig it out if it didn't flower. Now it has, I cannot identify it, so I do not know how to look after it.

It's acca sellowiana or pineapple guava. In this country, you will not get any fruit unless it is grown under glass but it is a good ornamental shrub for a sheltered sunny position. Doesn't really need any treatment but will grow to six feet and maybe a little wider
