Hi, I'm growing aubergines, and they're going great guns, until yesterday when I noticed green fly all over the leaves stem and flowers! Any suggestions as to how to get rid would be greatly received. Also could they spread to my peppers and toms? as they are in the same area.
Thanks as ever

spray with soapy, preferably environment friendly, water. We're trying out something called Garlic Barrier. Seems that insect don't like the smell of garlic so the idea is you spray with this once a week or fortnight and whilst you can't smell the garlic after the first few minutes the bugs can. It is a systemic and is safe to use on food crops and has no effect on wildlife. In fact it doesn't even harm the 'bad' bugs just keeps them off the crop.
