Does anyone know how I can label my plant photos on my IPad. Got a book for Xmas called Ipad for Dummies, but it doesn't tell if it's possible to do this.

Mine is a Samsung tablet, it has a couple of simple photo stores, one simply called photos and the other called Gallery, both have tools, I can use text to name them, I also downloaded two free apps, one is Photogrid which has templates, picture frame etc to play with and the other is called Aviary
on both you can email the finised image.
these days I use my phone for photos then email them to myself and download them to the tablet.....
on Samsung all this is very easy
Hope its the same for your ipad.

Unfortunately that is one of the features that was lost when iOS 8 was brought in and the photo storage system changed. Not all "improvements" are for the better. We used to be able to tag images as well.

Thank you for your replies. I do know how to put things in albums, & I also have Aviary to play about with but it doesn't allow me to tag images. My Apple iPad doesn't have text with the photo gallery so as Urbanite says it is not an option.

There might be an app available that will allow you to label your photos on iPad.

I think you will be able to rename your photos using Itunes on a pc with your Ipad connected.
Or mail them to your pc from your Ipad rename them on your pc and mail them back to your Ipad or just keep them on your pc hope this helps.

I will, too, Feverfew. It would be a very useful feature. Do let us know if you find anything, won't you. :-)

I'd be interested to know if you find something. The only apps I've found are for adding captions to the photo itself ('happy birthday' type of messages) rather than just background Information. If I get time today I'll go onto the apple support forum and see if I can find an answer (got exam papers to type up first)

I haven't worked that out yet, sadly, or even know if it's possible, but I do know how to put them in albums if that's any help?
