Part of one of traling petunia in my hanging basket is starting to roth. This year I have used water storing crystal. would you think would be the cause. Maybe its water logged

Thank you Bamboo. i don't think it is mildew.Would you think it could be wind damage. If it is mildew was it because of water storage crystals

No - mildew happens all by itself, almost every year on quite a range of plants. And its quite hard to get a hanging basket to be waterlogged (as long as its not a plastic, solid one) without actually sitting it in a bucket of water, so I wouldn't have thought the crystals would have anything to do with it. If it looks battered and tatty, then its probably wind damage - photograph would help.

I have two petunia's that are wilting, I think there are insects in the soil, that eat away the roots. There is no sign of mildew or anything else. And they got enough water.
My husband has treated them with something, he added it to the soil. Wonder if they'll come through.
