I pot on the bits that fall of every year, or nip off the peice that you want to use remove some of the leaves to give you a good part of stem to plant up put it in water for a week or so and it will grow roots then pot it on. It usually works without any problems for me so much so that all of my family have fostered the baby plants from me over the years.
